Visitors to Cardiff city centre are being given a big yellow reminder about the Marie Curie ‘Walk to Remember’ event this month, thanks to a new partnership.
Situated at one of the busiest areas of the capital city and enjoying a huge footfall from commuters, shoppers and local residents, our digital Smartscreen offers viewers around 895,000 opportunities to see every week. It is hoped that the big yellow advert encourages even more people to sign up for the Walk to Remember event at Cardiff Castle.
Owain Taylor-Shaw, Partnerships Manager for Marie Curie, said: “Walk to Remember is one of the charity’s main fundraising events, and the money it generates helps Marie Curie provide care and support for people living with a terminal illness across Wales. We’re extremely grateful to Maxx Media for their generous offer of this prime promotional spot in the centre of Cardiff and we hope it encourages more people to take part in this fantastic event.”

The Walk to Remember at Cardiff Castle begins at 6.30pm on Sunday 30th August, and the evening will continue with fire performers and dancers providing entertainment as the sun goes down.
Would-be walkers can still sign up for the event and help Marie Curie provide expert care, guidance and support to more people in Wales living with a terminal illness, and help them get the most from their time.
Registration is £10 per person (children under-16 go free; on the night adult registration is £20) and there is a minimum fundraising ask of £100, which pays for five hours of care from Marie Curie.
